The Web management interface on several versions of Avaya Message Storage Server (MSS) was found to contain input validation vulnerabilities. This could potentially allow for a user of the Web management interface to execute arbitrary code.

Customers running 4.0 upgrade to MSS 4.0 SP1 or later.
For all vulnerable versions of Avaya MSS, Avaya recommends that customers restrict local and network access to the server. This restriction should be enforced through the use of physical security, firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and other generally-accepted networking practices until such time as the upgrade can be installed.
